Here you will find a selection of some of the author's original images sorted by galleries. The first one, COLLECTIONS , includes 14 additional galleries: :

ACIDFLOR is a digital retouching demo clearly influenced by pop art.

FACTORIES The lens points at different industrial facilities in the country. Some of them are in a deep state of decay as they have been abandoned. The reversal in the chemical procedures for developing the film gives a very peculiar shade to every picture, which is not digitally retouched except for its brightness and contrast.

SAL-EROS plays at turning such a simple thing as a saltcellar into a unique sensual piece, by emphasizing its lines and volumes through lighting and shade effects.

ESPECTÁCULO includes four extra galleries, namely:

CIRCO Y FERIA make up a fantasy world where the camera is wrapped in lights, colours and movements. This time in the Chinese National Circus.

CAYETANO is a young apprentice bullfighter, son of a matador, introduced in bullrings at an early age. In a summer afternoon, terribly hot, the sun is a prevalent feature of bullfighting, the ‘fiesta nacional'.

LISÍSTRATA portrays the main cast of prima donnas and actresses that performed in the Nave de Sagunto the Aristophanes play in Carles Santos version in June 2003.

WOYZECK was a coproduction of the Auditori de Torrent, Cucurucú Teatre and the Comédie de Béthune based on Georg Büchner's original play.

GUGGENHEIM explores this fascinating building created by the architect Frank O. Gehry. Its bold design and strong personality is filled with Bilbao's special light.

ALBUFERA One of the most magical natural places in terms of behaviour of the mediterranean light. It is a stunningly beautiful place seriously threatened by the expansion of the city of Valencia to the south.

CUBA , particularly Havana, are endangered territories, where people cling to life as the most precious gift. The eye, the camera, does not get a moment's rest.

BOXEO , a feature from 1993 showing some fights of the European Super Welter, Light and Heavy Weight Championship held in Sueca, a town near Valencia.

ESCOLA was a proposal for an exhibition at the Valencia Arts and Crafts School. A walk through it sometimes reveals a lot of surprises. The original copy was digitally enlarged from the contact sheet with a laser photocopier that alters the chroma at will.

FLORES , a tribute to the late American photographer Robert Mapplethorpe, which was a big expert in floral still lives. The series is an applied study of different light schemes.

METRO shows a city about to enter the night, at its magical moment. This city is Valencia, totally scratched with ditches because of the infrastructure works under way of the underground, tunnels, pavements, bridges... The takes were made with a Lubitel, a Russian made fully plastic camera, in a 6x6 negative of very low sensitivity, 50 ISO, which gives a sharp colour saturation.

ONCE shows ticket street vendors, a group which is almost dying out. They work on a daily basis in not very desirable conditions. This series was manually treated with chemical procedures and printed in gray paper.

The following buttons give access to a black and white PORTRAIT gallery of different characters. Another one contains FASHION pictures. We go on to ILLUSTRATED FEATURE , a must for any photographer, where snapshot becomes most important. Another recurrent side is LANDSCAPE , clearly urban in this case. Finally, there is a link to the author's most personal CREATION with some examples of digital retouching and textures.
